A self help resource with artwork, quotes and poems by young people who self-injure, the Rainbow Journal contains useful tips to gain insight and awareness.

The Rainbow Journal is a book aimed at helping young people move from self-harm to self-care. It has blank pages for writing about feelings and for drawing. It includes artwork, quotes and poems by young people who self-injure.

It is A5 size, spiral bound and very bright and colourful. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with counselling, as an additional tool.

The Rainbow Journal is available for free to under-18s in the UK.

If you are under 18 and would like a free copy of the journal sent to you please fill in our request form. It is highly likely that there will be a delay of several weeks - please be patient, or download the PDF version (below) if you need the Rainbow Journal quickly.

If you work with people who self-harm, you can purchase Rainbow Journals here.

The Journal is also available as a free download.
