“Working with Self Injury Support has unified my combined passion for research, gender specific care and mental health advocacy, all of which are delivered with heart-felt kindness and real empathy. I am continually inspired by the outstanding work of Self Injury Support and I am honoured to be able to contribute towards their cause.” - Caitlin, former trustee

Eilish
"My name is Eilish and I am the Co-chair of the Board of Trustees. I have worked in the non-profit sector for almost a decade, with my work focusing on Project Management, Relationship Building and Fundraising. My career has taken me all over the world and I have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing organisations. I was drawn to volunteering with Self Injury Support because I too suffered with compulsive self injury for more than 10 years. At the time, I didn't have the information or support needed to fully understand my journey. So, when I realised that an organisation out there was supporting women just like me to overcome challenges much like mine, and that they needed industry professionals to help them do it, I signed right up. It has been an amazing experience and I am so proud of everything SIS does."
Charlotte
"I have volunteered with female empowerment and mental health charities in the Bristol area for over ten years, and am a passionate advocate for providing services for marginalised groups and individuals who can’t access the frontline support they might need. As co-chair of Trustees, I am excited and proud to shape the governance component for SIS’s fantastic and dedicated team, as the organisation develops and builds on its services. Post-pandemic, our staff and volunteer expertise and unique skillsets are needed more than ever."
Wafa
"Wafa is an Energy Deals Partner at KPMG leading the work with major clients on decarbonisation. Since joining KPMG she has worked with all major energy companies and a variety of global manufacturing companies advising on creating and executing energy transition plans. She advises global clients in the energy transition space. As someone who struggled with self-harm in her youth, she is passionate about supporting the organisation and the people they work with."
Lily
"I began as a volunteer on the helpline and TESS services for several years, before becoming a Trustee with SIS. I am passionate about the work we do, and continually inspired by everyone who works and volunteers there. I feel so honoured to be able to play a part in ensuring SIS continues to fulfil its vital aims."
